AI Safety Collab Fellowship

This page gathers my ongoing notes, reflections, and writings from the AI Safety Collab fellowship.

I am participating in this programme to think carefully—slowly, critically, and humanely—about artificial intelligence, risk, responsibility, and governance. Rather than presenting finished opinions, this space documents learning as it unfolds: questions before answers, tensions before clarity, and reading before conclusions.

AI safety is often discussed in technical or speculative terms. My interest lies slightly elsewhere: in language, interpretation, ethics, institutions, and the everyday human assumptions that quietly shape powerful systems. This fellowship offers both structure and community for that kind of inquiry.

How to read these posts
These posts are chronological, following the arc of the fellowship. They are my reflections as I go through the fellowship and are not meant to be instructional in any way. You may see my mind changing as I dive deeper into the topics of the course. Some entries are observational. Others are personal, conceptual, or literary. Together, they form a record of how I am learning to situate AI safety within a broader intellectual and moral life.

Community & Orientation
One of the most meaningful aspects of this fellowship is the community itself. The group is enthusiastic, friendly, and deeply supportive—people from different disciplines and geographies who are willing to listen, challenge, and think together without urgency or ego.

This page honours that collective atmosphere, even as the writing here reflects only my own perspective.

Why This Lives on Sahitye Jeevanam
Sahitye Jeevanam is, at its core, about living a life shaped by reading, thinking, and writing. AI safety belongs here not because it is technical, but because it forces us to ask old questions in new forms:

What does responsibility mean?
Who gets to decide?
What kind of future are we quietly consenting to?

This page is one attempt to sit with those questions—without haste.

Below are links to individual posts written during the fellowship. I will be adding new entries as the programme progresses.

Have a lovely day!
